Create 10 questions to ask you host during your 6-8 hour job shadow.  They can be general in nature to working in a business environment as well as specific to their career or how to prepare for a job in a particular field. 
Open your CIS.  In the CIS home page, click on JOB SEARCH in the left sidebar.
On the next page, click on BEFORE YOUR SEARCH; then click on INFORMATIONAL INTERVIEWS.
Your job shadow should include time to ask your host questions, like in an informational interview. 
Look at the QUESTIONS TO ASK (Click on MORE to see them) and then pick some you might want to ask your host!

Remember, no questions about religion and politics, unless it relates to the job.  Also, don't ask how much money they make.  However, you can ask what someone in their position earns when they are first hired.
