Advisory Lesson Plan

Topic:  SLC final preparations, Advisory survey

Objectives:

1. Final preparations for SLC

2. Students will take an advisory survey

Activities:

1.  Final preparations for SLCs: Remind students of their conference time.  

2.  Students will take an end-of-the-year advisory survey.

Activity #2:  Students work on SLC script

Notes:

Students must attend their SLC or they are in danger of not passing advisory.  If they do not show up, they need to try and schedule a conference with you before the end of school.  If you cannot find a date and time that works, the student will have to do their SLC with a school administrator.  Please send Angela Landy the name(s) of any student who did not get their SLC completed by the end of the school year.

Activity #1:  SLC – final preparations

1.  Have students make any last changes to their script.  Remind each student of the date and time of their conference.  Also remind students, if they do not show up to their conference, they are at risk of not passing advisory.  They will need to make up their conference another time – either with you – or with an administrator.

Activity #2:  Survey

2. Students will take a survey to offer feedback on advisory.  If you have chrome books, the survey was sent to the students’ school email account.  If you do not have computers, paper copies have been put in your box for students to fill out.  Please send paper copies back to either the north or south office.
