1. Students should be completing their College Applications and FAFSA right now. 53% of DDHS Seniors have completed their FAFSA! This is great....but we still have more to go. Please encourage kids to apply now! (FAFSA.gov). Upcoming FAFSA help session: Mt. Hood CC: Nov. 17 5-9 pm - Drop in and complete the FAFSA! 2. If students are attending a Community College and have a 2.5 GPA and above, they may qualify for the Oregon Promise (what we keep hearing as "free community college"...although there are limits and stipulations.). Students must apply by December 1, 2016 and complete their FAFSA by December 9. oregonstudentaid.gov 3. Scholarships - apply now! There is a long list available on the College and Career Center website: https://sites.google.com/a/ddsd40.org/ddhs-college-career-center/scholarships 4. The counseling office has collected quite a selection of visuals/posters for your classroom. If you are interested, feel free to drop by the counseling office to "shop", or let me know and I'll put posters in your box (but I get to choose them for you!)
